14 Coast Guard Ball |
We are pleased to announce the 2008 Coast Guard Ball will be held at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on Saturday, August 2, 2008.
The Coast Guard, as one of the nation's Armed Forces and its oldest
continuous seagoing service, is rich in history and tradition. Therefore, it
is appropriate that the distinct military flavor of a formal military ball
be used to remind ourselves of the proud nature of our service and of the
traditional courtesies and amenities appropriate to the Coast Guard.
The theme for the 2008 Ball is "Leadership, Tradition and Innovation," under
the general idea of "Kahu O Ka Pakipika (Guardians of the Pacific)".
The
Ball has been designated as an MWR Commercial Sponsorship Event pursuant to
Paragraph 5.H of the
MWR
Manual, CI M1710.13B.
Tickets are on sale through July 25, 2008. Additional drawing tickets may be purchased on the night of the Ball to improve your chances of winning the surfboard!!!
